Russell Jurney created WHIRR-740:
------------------------------------
Summary: MySQL Whirr Service
Key: WHIRR-740
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WHIRR-740
Project: Whirr
Issue Type: Bug
Components: new service
Affects Versions: 0.9.0
Reporter: Russell Jurney
Both Hive and Druid need to be able to boot a mysql server, and get that
server's connection string back. This seems like a good use of a mysql service.
Comments?
I see that this can be done via chef:mysql - but it doesn't return the
connection info, so that won't work for coordinating with other cluster
components?
