I've copied the release notes to our own website, instead of embedding them in the wiki. The release notes should be part of our own site IMO, and are read only once the message has been sent across the globe.
For the release stuff, and the front page I've created a special section: news. This is the archive for older news that doesn't fit on the frontpage anymore (similar to what we had on the old website). Wicket community wide announcements and news should go there.
