Doing it all the time:

<input type="text" wicket:id="address.street" />

Form form = new Form("form", new CompoundPropertyModel(person));
form.add(new TextField("address.street"));

and works with localizers/properties too... Have been using (and
promoting this functionality) since 1.0.
