Ah, that's cool. In that case, I think the work done to port the annotation stuff is complete. This way is much easier than the old way - makes the code much simpler. Would be great to migrate it to core wicket in the future. The real key is the code to search the classpath for annotated classes. Spring could be removed as a dependency (but you'd still need the underlying cglib stuff, so not clear if that is much of a win).
