As proof of concept I developed a macro that shows how reveal codes in OOo could work: http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/hillview/OOo/ A lot of people have asked for reveal codes for OOo but few are willing to put any time into it - most simply say "I want it to work like and look like WordPerfect" without putting any thought into it.
Please bear in mind that OOo does not have codes in the way that WordPerfect does. The "revealed codes" in my macro is a representation of the underlying object model. I haven't worked on this macro for almost 2 years.
