Currently, the Merlin implementation retrieves CA certs to form a certificate
path via the issuer DN of the signing certificate. However, it's also possible
to extract the AuthorityKeyIdentifier bytes and compare them to the
SubjectKeyIdentifer bytes of the certs in the truststore. This task is to
handle this via a new Merlin implementation.
