Seems you have misunderstood. What I am seen is, when I press the clear
button in the event tracer, logs get cleared (which is correct!). But logs
thereafter doesn't appear in the UI's event tracer (which is a BUG?!).

For the system to get back on track, I had to re-enable the event tracer
(which is a work-around!).

This should be clear enough now!
