Hi Nirmal, I have done following work so far in the project.
- Implemented the recommendation algorithm using java and spark. A sample source code is hosted at [1] <https://github.com/madawas/spark-recommendation> - Researched on *inferring a rating through implicit feedback data*, collaborative filtering with implicit feedback data and using existing functions on spark to work with implicit data and recommending. After reading several papers and documents, I decided to use *weighted average of product page views and purchases* as the inferred observation as the preference value. - Started integrating the algorithms to carbon-ml.
