Hi Sumedha, yes, if you need to filter by CITY then specify a string to filter like this, https://localhost:9443/odata/RDBMSSample/default/CUSTOMERS?$filter=CITY eq 'Nantes' or if you need only to select CITY then you can use this https://localhost:9443/odata/RDBMSSample/default/CUSTOMERS?$select=CITY
yes we should consider service hierarchy when creating service endpoint, I have created jira[1] for that. but I think it's fine for now. and also we will improve the odata sample doc.
