Hi It was observed that the operators which manipulates values using both the configuration and the inputs always takes the configured value as the preceded one when both ways are present. According to the discussion in [1] the user has to keep the default values in the configuration as it is to make the values from the input to take precedence for the manipulation.
In data mapper there are multiple operators that behave similarly and currently the user should be either knowledgable or find out by reading documentation which is an extra effort. In order to solve this, can we have an instruction wording in the operator it self, so that the user will know how to use it directly. Since this is a common improvement for most of the operators, it would be ideal if this is done for this release itself. WDYT?
