But the Xalan-J current development happens at branch xalan-j_2_7_1_maint. The file http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/xalan/java/branches/xalan-j_2_7_1_maint/build.xml says, <property name="compiler.target" value="1.5"/> <property name="compiler.source" value="1.5"/> This I think means that, 2.7.3 would be version uses java level 1.5 for development.
