Yes, I am proposing we remove them from the active codebase. Dead code that we don't intend to revive and that isn't useful even as an example should Go Away. It's always available in the history.

If yes, is this ok? Having these files, present within xalan-test repos is making no difference to the XalanJ implementation quality we're trying to achieve with the xalan-test testsuite. We're maintaining legacy code.
