With these changes, invoking the tests against xalan-java's Maven build is
exactly like invoking them against the Ant build. I've just modified a few
classpaths to handle the slight differences in where the builds leave some
support files. The tests continue to support the Ant build as well, so this can
be safely merged now; we will then be able to merge the Maven build into
xalan-java without losing test support.
I'm not sure if that completely answers your question... ?

Subject: Re: [apache/xalan-test] Mvn build compatibility (PR #7)
@jkesselm<https://github.com/jkesselm>, you seem to have developed the
XalanJ test branch mvn-build-compatibility, that you say needs to be released
as XalanJ test suite that can test the XalanJ implementation codebase maven
setup located on the branch xalan-java-mvn-refactored. I'm curious to know
that, how do we need to invoke XalanJ tests from tests branch
mvn-build-compatibility that can test XalanJ's codebase Maven build (i.e,
xalan-java-mvn-refactored)?
All of these discussions, leads me to think that, the following two XalanJ
repos branches need to be release for XalanJ users : XalanJ implementation
branch "xalan-java-mvn-refactored", and XalanJ tests branch
"mvn-build-compatibility". I think that, it shall be nice to have confirmation
on these aspects as well.
