XML document: Yes, see above. Schema: This would be nice, but we haven't implemented this yet.
It would be "nice" particularly if by "schema" we also mean RELAX NG. It has superior functionality to XSD that could be put to good use in a form environment.
I also still wonder if you guys are thinking about making XForms support available outside the document.
