Thanks Allen for starting the discussion, The jenkins-admin.py is still used in the Precommit-Admin job ( https://ci-hadoop.apache.org/job/PreCommit-Admin) to scrape ASF JIRA and kick the Precommit-<project>-Build jobs. Now Hadoop, Oozie, Phoenix, and Tez are affected. In Hadoop, Tez, and Phoenix, most of the precommit jobs are running with GitHub PR, so the effect is small. On the other hand, in Oozie, PreCommit-Oozie-Build is the only job to test the patch. I think we need to ask Oozie community's opinion.
