Summary: Sorting on Numbers does not work on Table View

Numerical value sort does not work on Table view either
# pressing the sort triangle on the column or
# selecting the Type as Number and using sort triangle
# selecting the Type and clicking on Sort Ascending/Descending button on the
drop down.
The type field (Number) get reset on any sort function. Attaching the video.
