+1. Tests also pass for me. I have also tested it against bookkeeper/ hedwig and ran some manual tests killing the leader and followers.

Why did you sign all the checksum files in dist-maven?

I did that last time as well. Does that matter?

probably not, I didn't notice it before, seems harmless but unnecessary.
