This patch has broken the C client for osx and windows. I just checked on osx
and the issue is that _POSIX_MONOTONIC_CLOCK is defined, but clock_gettime
isn't (CLOCK_MONOTONIC isn't defined either).
Reopening this issue to get it fixed properly.
