[~phunt], IMHO this shouldn't be a blocker for 3.5.2 or even 3.5 - this issue
has been known since the beginning of ZK (it's even mentioned in the paper),
and addressing it requires many changes in various places. The attached patch
is not doing that. It may be better to have it as a blocker for 3.6.
