Eric Yang commented on ZOOKEEPER-1604: -------------------------------------- Exim is only active if no other MTA programs are installed. This usually only happens on minimal install without sendmail. Redhat closes these type of bugs as not a problem because LSB specification enforces MTA dependency. The question is, does using ZooKeeper need to comply to LSB specification? I hope we don't tie up in ball and chains to use a light weight program like ZooKeeper. Of course, I could be wrong and people like to have a MTA on their ZooKeeper servers. > remove rpm/deb/... packaging > ---------------------------- > > Key: ZOOKEEPER-1604 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ZOOKEEPER-1604 > Project: ZooKeeper > Issue Type: Task > Components: build > Affects Versions: 3.3.0 > Reporter: Patrick Hunt > Assignee: Chris Nauroth > Fix For: 3.5.2, 3.6.0 > > Attachments: ZOOKEEPER-1604.001.patch, ZOOKEEPER-1604.patch > > > Remove rpm/deb/... packaging from our source repo.
