Hi folks,

An update on the progress of 3.5.3-"beta" release:

* The upstream Jenkins builds are patched and and stabilized since last
week. Our success builds ration jumps from 0% to 75% (jdk8) [1] and 80%
(jdk7) [2] since then.

* The failed build is caused by flaky tests and but none of the tests look
like reveal any show stopper bug. I'll give a best effort try to address
remaining flaky tests this week.

* There is a new release blocker:
ZOOKEEPER-2734: I had an email thread earlier to dev list about release
names - i.e. alpha or beta. I hope we can resolve this issue this week so
the RC build can come out late this week or next week.

I think we are pretty close to cut a release candidate for 3.5.3 after
resolving the release name tag.
