Hi, This is going to be big. I mean, BIG. Or huge. It could even be HUGE. 2007 is coming to its end, and we're having a release to celebrate this. Okay, technically speaking, I admit the goal is not "celebrate the end of 2007", but well, why not do this at the same time? So you can grab, let's say, some ice cream (I've heard that some smallish bearded Swedish artist is an icecreamaholic -- let's call him Andreas), turn on your computer, put the spoon in your mouth and start making things perfect for GNOME 2.21.4. I'm sure the anonymous Andreas will do this, so if you need some motivation, you can put some photo of someone who might look like him as your background. Let's say this random photo: http://flickr.com/photos/davidz/180705379/ Hrm. Forget about it. Motivation won't come with this photo :-)
Note that with this release, both string and UI change announcement periods begin; all string changes must be announced to both gnome-i18n@ and gnome-doc-list@, while all user interface changes must be announced to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tarballs are due on Monday December 17th before 23:59 UTC for the GNOME 2.21.4 Development Release, which will be delivered on Wednesday. Modules which were proposed for inclusion should try to follow the 2.21 schedule so everyone can test them. Please make sure that your tarballs will be uploaded before Monday 23:59 UTC: tarballs uploaded later than that will probably be too late to get in 2.21.4. If you are not able to make a tarball before this deadline or if you think you'll be late, please send a mail to the release team and we'll find someone to roll the tarball for you! For more information about 2.21, the full schedule, the official module lists and the proposed module lists, please see our colorful 2.21 page on the wiki: http://live.gnome.org/TwoPointTwentyone For a quick overview of the GNOME schedule, please see: http://live.gnome.org/Schedule Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- devel-announce-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/devel-announce-list
