Hi, What's the link between ice cream & GNOME? You need to freeze them at some point to have a good result. Ok. It's a bit far-fetched, I admit. But do you know how hard it is to write something that catches the attention of our millions of contributors? (mmmh, millions might be far-fetched too...). The real question is why I'm talking about freeze. That's simply because feature freeze and module freeze are coming next Monday. Expect some last-minute rush while everybody commits a not totally tested feature ;-)
Tarballs are due on Monday August 4th before 23:59 UTC for the GNOME 2.23.6 Development Release, which will be delivered on Wednesday. Modules which were proposed for inclusion should try to follow the 2.23 schedule so everyone can test them. Please make sure that your tarballs will be uploaded before Monday 23:59 UTC: tarballs uploaded later than that will probably be too late to get in 2.23.6. If you are not able to make a tarball before this deadline or if you think you'll be late, please send a mail to the release team and we'll find someone to roll the tarball for you! For more informations about 2.23, the full schedule, the official module lists and the proposed module lists, please see our colorful 2.23 page on the wiki: http://live.gnome.org/TwoPointTwentythree For a quick overview of the GNOME schedule, please see: http://live.gnome.org/Schedule Thanks, Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- devel-announce-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/devel-announce-list
