For the most part Adium works however at work we use FACETIME proxy
server and it turns out that after the SSL change and the libpurple
change all our linux and mac based clients are unable to use the SSL
handshake needed to authenticate with yahoo's server. I'm told because
of some incompatibility with the FACETIME server. In our teams case
everybody has stopped using Yahoo and now reluctantly uses Sametime in
Lotus Notes.
Does anybody know why Yahoo made this change? Was it specifically to
lock out Pidgn and Adium from their servers? Clearly that didn't work
since when you're not behind a proxy things work fine.
Is there anybody else who has found that Adium not longer works with
Yahoo when they are behind a proxy?
