Hey guys,

So Yahoo changed the way they assign login servers for Y! Japan. I know we've
already had a couple reports on the feedback list and I got some emails from
Japanese user groups asking about it. John has the fixes merged to our 1.4
libpurple branch ready to be merged.

We need to do one of two things... Either we need to release 1.3.11 with the Y!
fix (Dimmuxx also mentioned that there could be a MSN security update or two
that has gone in since) or we need to push b18 and direct people towards that.

What do you guys think? Personally, I'd like to keep 1.3 dead and keep pushing
on toward a final 1.4. However, there's also the issue of any remaining Tiger
users who wouldn't be able to run 1.4. I don't have any idea if the Y! changes
are currently compatible with the version of libpurple we have in 1.3 (I looked
over the diffs and nothing stuck out as being an issue). As much as I'd rather
not, I don't think we have a choice on 1.3.11 as 1.3.x still the current
release.

Are there any outstanding issues other than the Y! thing (and maybe the MSN
security patch) that we would need to take care of for 1.3.11? Does anyone
have any time coming up that they could take a look? Any other
thoughts/suggestions?

-Eric
