Hi there, apologies if this is something basic that i could find in help files or something, but i did scour them, and the archive for this list.
Just a simple question. I am running the stable version of Kannel (1.0.3) on Red Hat 7.1. I have Kannel up and running fine (tested with fakesmsc), and want to use a Siemens M20 for I/O to Kannel. I have tested my M20 with minicom, and it is responding fine (only at 9600 speed though)... However, when i try and run the bearerbox with the m20 as smsc i get the following error : ************************ ************************ [root@score kannel]#bearerbox -v 1 /etc/kannel/test.conf 2002-02-19 11:05:31 [0] INFO: Debug_lvl = 1, log_file = <none> log_lvl = 0 2002-02-19 11:05:31 [0] INFO: Reading configuration from </etc/kannel/test.conf> 2002-02-19 11:05:31 [0] INFO: ------------------------------ 2002-02-19 11:05:31 [0] INFO: Kannel bearerbox II version 1.0.3 starting Coimmand ATE0 2002-02-19 11:05:31 [0] PANIC: Cannot start with SMSC connection failing *********************** *********************** When using mimicon i would get an OK response to the ATE0 command from the M20. suggestions about what i should do? current smsc group in the test.conf looks like this: group = smsc smsc = at modemtype = siemens device = /dev/ttyS0 (i also tried it with alt-dcs = 0 or 1, and with speed=9600... but not sure if you can do that with this version of at) Thanks for your help, Thomas Larkin
