You need to send the message as UCS2, using 0x0002 to mark the beginning and 0x0001 to mark the end of the blinking text. (IIRC) Keep in mind that this will not work on a great many handsets, I believe it is specific to a very few, mostly obsolete Nokia models. Have a 6150 handy?
