I've made a patch that allows for an easy way to create working RPM package
for kannel. With working I mean something that can be run right after
installing the RPM.

Of course you must modify the conf file to make it do something useful apart
from booting, but out of the box it can be started and you get a running
kannel with a fakesmsc connection listening on port 10000.

It patches a couple of files and adds an "rpm" folder. You can then just run
"./configure" and "make rpm" and get the RPM packages with mysql support
built without much trouble.
