Chih-Chung has been doing some testing, and is interested in this optimization question. We should get real benchmarks. Depending on network capacity, moderate frame rates and resolutions may not be such a terrible thing for large streamed media files. SJ On 3/1/07, Ivan Krstić <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

Last I heard, Theora in particular was practically unusable on the machines, depending on a clip's frame rate and resolution. This is a known problem as Theora's notoriously unoptimized, but it's a real problem for us. -- Ivan Krstić <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | GPG: 0x147C722D _______________________________________________ Devel mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.laptop.org/mailman/listinfo/devel
