I prefer the second option - we have gone to a lot of work to make sure that PCI virtualization works for the Geode, and it does for the most part (USB and audio are two good examples of that). I would like to stay true to the PCI model if at all possible. I'll look into the multiple PCI driver solution as well - that seems like the right way to go. I haven't gotten into it - so I don't know how long it will take to hack together a reasonable solution. And time is of the essence - we have people chomping at the bit to start power management work. They don't really *need* a working smbus and MFGPT to resume, assuming that we don't use nohz and the display (i.e. - resume to a serial console), though I think that people will want to go that route pretty quickly. Andres - its your kernel - what do you think? Do we suffer without the smbus and MFGPT for a few weeks, or do we check in this code and revert it later when we get a better solution?
