I think that sugar can me very usable. I haven't dealt with the
laptop much, but it looks reasonable. There's only half a gig of memory
on this thing, in case you didn't know, and the kids will need to be
able to save documents. Fluxbox takes up WAY too much space.
I've been told that the older kids will be able to enable more advanced
features, making it usable for them, too. I can tell you tonight, from a
twelve year olds perspective(which I am), after my dad brings home a
green machine for me to use. I think that sugar is perfectly usable, and
I'm not sure on thisone (don't quote me on it) But I think that there
may be more than just sugar.
The kids out in developing countries haven't seen computers the way we
have. We need to rethink computing for them!
Overall, I think that sugar will be more than enough.
