ftp://rawhide.redhat.com/lorax/SRPMS/SRPMS/rpm-3.0.3-0.23.src.rpm
rpm -i
tarball in (for a redhat system) /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES, for Mandrake
/usr/src/RPM/SOURCES.

Which brings up a problem I had with Mandrake 6.0 (which forced me to go
back to RedHat 6.0) -- I am the (new) maintainer for the PostgreSQL
RPM's. I had no end of trouble building RPM's on Mandrake 6.0. The
first issue was the new location. The second issue was the shipping of
pgcc instead of egcs -- PostgreSQL has a hard time building without a
working C++ compiler, which pgcc apparently doesn't provide. Besides, I
am working on the RedHat Official RPM's for PostgreSQL, so, I had to
downgrade.

Who is maintaining/building the PostgreSQL RPM's for Mandrake? I'd like
to coordinate our efforts.
