I have a new DPT SmartRAID V controller and am trying to figure out how to get it to work under Mandrake 6.1 How do you create a new Mandrake/RedHat installation diskette that contains the new module (dpt_i2o.o) needed to make the SCSI controller work? I downloaded the driver source (from http://www.dpt.com/techsup/sr5drv.htm) and compiled it with the 2.2.13-7mdk kernel, but I can't figure out how to install the new module. DPT has pre-built boot/root images for RH 6.0, but these won't work for Mandrake 6.1. I want to build new set of boot/root diskettes that I can use to install Mandrake 6.1 Also, if I ever get this working, what is the procedure to submit the change to make it part of the regular Mandrake distro?
