I have here a copy of Mandrake 6.0 on CD.
In the misc /src dir there is three dirs
install
installinit
trees

in these three dirs are all the source programs for building the installation
the trees dir contains the scripts needed inable the changes.

I have what was the beginning of a HOW-TO on this, although it is for RedHat
it mostly holds for mandrake. The HOW-TO does assume some knowlege of
boot processes. URL is

http://www.oceania.net/HOW-TO/

If anyone has anything to add to this I would be grateful
Although it will be out dated soon by anaconda I have found many people
put off by the new RH install,.
In my own distro I have not used the new install, rather I have moved all the
later
RPMs into the 6.0 distribution and chaged the hdlist and comps file to reglect
this.
This has pleased many who have not been given the oportunity to set up there
networks with the standard RH 6.1 installation

Kind regards

Kevin
