Well there's your problem.  Only half kidding, but yum -y is quite
dangerous, as it will happily do things like "yum -y remove glibc".
That said, it shouldn't have removed things in order to process the
update, so that's where the kidding part comes in.  Just a word of
caution, be very careful with -y.
