I already mentioned this sort of tool ("USB burning stations" – most of them
were actually notebooks running software like this). It doesn't solve the
problem that the operation is destructive and you cannot trust the user to
not hand you in a key with important data and then blame you for destroying
it (and then you have to prove that you actually warned them, and even if
you can prove it, it won't keep the user from destroying your reputation).
