We don't have a better tool, unfortunately. In addition, RepoView was maintained in an SVN repository. I have a clone of the repository converted to Mercurial on BitBucket[0], but conversions to Git didn't go very well... RepoView actually does know how to parse comps instead of group tag when you tell it to. Most people don't, partly because comps is a Fedora-only thing (quite reasonably, Mageia and SUSE both use the Group tag for categorizing packages), but also because some don't know.
