python2 changes .. this is probably preferable. There are going to be the
scripts which work well enough but not the same. And there are the scripts
which won't work until it hits a part that isn't python3 compatible.

Having python set up as an alternatives would probably be the Debian-ish
like solution in that if you want to have your box running python3 only you
can switch using that.. and if not you can switch it to the other. And if
for some reason we decided that Jython was better than the Cpython.. you
can do that.
