I think this is because the C++ used in Pan is incompatible with current versions of g++ being used. More specifically, when I saw this issue in F25, I was able to end it by compiling the src.rpm with optimization set to O0. This type of thing also occurred in firefox when the latest C++ was released, as it made some things commonly used in earlier versions errors.
