My name is Sourabh Jain and I am new to the packaging world.
I have been a Fedora consumer for almost a decade and now I am really excited
to work with the community.
My primary job involves a contribution to Linux RAS (Reliability Accessibility and Serviceability)
feature and I also write tools that help to simplify the usage of Linux RAS utilities.
Lately, I have introduced a python-based framework named ServiceReport that help to configure
First Failure Data Configuration (FFDC). FFDC is one of the components of RAS which
deal with collecting the system-related logs/data that will help developers to debug the problem
that leads the system to an invalid state.

In the process of developing and delivering the ServiceReport to our internal teams, I did learn
python way of build rpm packages using setuptools package. This leads to a question regarding
the fedora package build ecosystem.
Can I use python setuptools to build ServiceReport package for Fedora or I need to shift to the .spec and make model?
