Unpushing is the closest you can come to deleting an update, AFAIK. Also, updates only obsolete previous updates for the same package(s) if they were still in either the "pending" or "testing" state. Since you manually unpushed the previous update, it was not obsoleted (because it was not necessary, as it was neither "pending" nor "testing" any longer).
