Great! Thanks for the info - and I'll add the syntax to my notes.

As far as I can tell, only those packages with an install-time dependency on
Boost, i.e., those that link a Boost shared library, are being rebuilt in the
side tag. While KiCad does BuildRequire boost-devel, it looks like it needs
only header-only libraries from Boost.

Since a lot of packages don’t need to link any of the shared-library parts of
Boost, it won’t be surprising if a few FTBFS’s associated with this update are
flushed out later by Koschei or in the F37 mass rebuild.

For reference, though, the syntax to build in a side tag is simply:

     fedpkg build --target=side-tag-name

and these work as well:

     fedpkg scratch-build --srpm --target=side-tag-name

     koji build --scratch side-tag-name foo.src.rpm

We are starting the rebuilds for

boost
side tag.

If your package depends on Boost, or just if you see a "Rebuilt for
Boost 1.78" commit pushed to your package's dist-git repo, please
co-ordinate with me about any updates to the
package. If you need to push other changes to rawhide then you will
need to build in the side tag, or we'll have to rebuild it multiple
times.

I hope we'll merge the side tag back to rawhide on Friday.

I had updated and built KiCad just slightly before your notice came out [1].
It was built with boost 1.76.

Do you need me to rebuild it in the side-tag?  If so, please let me know the
command syntax as I haven't had to build in a side-tag before.

    Thanks,
    Steve
