So if you are missing a non-security update, then any security update built against it will break your system, exactly the same as in the scenarios proposed in the very first comment in this thread. A scenario like libsoup depending on an nghttp update could easily happen in your RHEL updates just the same as it could in Fedora.

Perhaps --security might work sometimes or even most of the time, but it cannot work safely in general.
