That %{_buildrootdir}/bin/ was never meant to be DESTDIR/bin/ though. It
is used to place a build-time only file. For that, using it instead of
%{_buildrootdir} doesn't sound correct either.
The new-fangled %{builddir} sounds more like what was actually needed.
