Hi,
a new problem arose while upgrading from F40 to F41:
# systemctl status systemd-udevd.service
○ systemd-udevd.service - Rule-based Manager for Device Events and Files
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/systemd-udevd.service; static)
Drop-In: /usr/lib/systemd/system/service.d
└─10-timeout-abort.conf, 50-keep-warm.conf
Active: inactive (dead) (thawing) since Thu 2025-05-22 11:37:19 CEST;
15min ago
...
# systemctl restart systemd-udevd.service
Cannot perform operation on frozen unit systemd-udevd.service.
# systemctl thaw systemd-udevd.service
Failed to thaw unit systemd-udevd.service: Unit does not support freeze/thaw
no rpm reinstall, systemctl clean/start/stop/restart nor property-set did
change that.
the system in question does no longer boot into login console, due to udevd not
started on boot.
I can't find the file that has this wrong state to get rid of it. Any ideas?
