This proposal will only be implemented if approved by the Fedora Engineering Steering Committee. == Summary == IBus 1.5.34 will update some the Wayland and Emoji features. == Owner == * Name: [[User:Fujiwara|Takao Fujiwara]] * Email: fujiwara [at] redhat [dot] com == Detailed Description == * IBus now will support the deleting surrounding text feature with the Wayland input-method protocols. * IBus now will support the pre-edit semantic values for the Wayland input-method protocols (already in 1.5.33). * IBus now shows some annotations in the Emoji lookup table. == Feedback == * https://github.com/ibus/ibus/pull/2830 == Benefit to Fedora == This change will provide the input-method features in some Wayland desktop environments likes KDE, Sway, Hyprland, COSMIC desktop environments and show users some information of Emoji. Run systemsettings and select "Colors & Themes" -> Colors and enable a theme with a different selection color 4. Show a pre-edit text with ibus-anthy engine === Emoji annotation information on IBus candidate popup === 1.
