If Fedora, as a project, adopts the position that we want more
versioned-symbol libraries, I will participate. I will write docs. I
will write examples. I will write PRs. I can't do it alone, but I think
the average maintainer can participate, too. I honestly don't think this
is more complex than what Debian package maintainers do.
But I also think that's a long term goal, and in the mean time, rpm's
elfdeps should do something better for libraries that haven't adopted
symbol versioning yet.
