If you do that, then please coordinate with me so it won't clash with
the EPEL package.

The EPEL version of the gpgverify package is a metapackage. It contains
no files, only dependencies to ensure that GnuPG and the script are
present. There's less potential for breakage if you do the same thing in
RHEL.
