it does not matter WHAT get swapped out
from the moment on the system starts to swap performance sucks

my co-developer has even troubles working with eclipse while
firefox/thunderbird on KDE is running on a notebook with 4 GB
memory because after some hours the machine starts to swap
and get partly unresponsable

and now the default will add additional memory pressure?

well, do what you want, as said i am able to fix such
misconfigurations, but stop believe such "features"
are good for the majority of userbase
