Yes, this is definitely a disadvantage. Which is why we carefully made
sure that the new scheme doesn't affect systems which already rely on
the stable names, i.e. systems where biosdevname is already installed,
or where explicit fixed names have been chosen by the administrator. The
new scheme will only take effect if neither biosdevname is installed and
no fixed names are assigned by the admin.
